Step Forward Differently

There’s something about the end of the year that can stir up both hope and heaviness. As 2025 closes, maybe you find yourself quietly thinking: I’m tired. This wasn’t how I imagined it would go. The wins didn’t hit the way you thought. The momentum faded faster than expected. And now you’re looking at 2026 knowing one thing for sure, you can’t enter this new year the way you ended the last one.

This isn’t about throwing everything away. It’s about being honest: burnout isn’t failure, it’s feedback.

It means you’ve been carrying too much for too long without a system, support, or strategy that honors your humanity. And if you’ve been leading a business while also being the caretaker, the creative, the breadwinner, the mother, the wife, the friend, the encourager… of course you’re tired. You’re not lazy or ungrateful. You’re maxed out.

What this next season requires isn’t more pushing, it’s more presence. It’s looking at your goals through a new lens: Does this still align with the woman I’ve become?

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop everything long enough to check in with your soul before planning your strategy. Because you can’t move forward effectively when you’re out of alignment internally.

Resetting for 2026 isn’t about resolutions. It’s about rescue. Rescuing your peace. Reclaiming your clarity. Realigning your energy. Because the truth is, you’re not behind, you’re just being recalibrated. There’s still time to do the thing, but not at the expense of your health or your joy.

Resetting for 2026 isn’t about resolutions. It’s about rescue. Rescuing your peace. Reclaiming your clarity. Realigning your energy. Because the truth is, you’re not behind, you’re just being recalibrated. There’s still time to do the thing, but not at the expense of your health or your joy.

This is the year you build in rhythm with your life, not in rebellion against it.

If your vision feels blurry, your heart feels heavy, or your plans feel irrelevant… good. That means you’re ready to reset. Not blindly repeat last year’s patterns. Not slap a new goal on top of old exhaustion. But to move forward from a centered, intentional place that feels true to you.

Not everyone will understand that, but you will feel it. And that’s enough.

Your Reset Checklist for 2026

If you're serious about starting the year with clarity, not chaos—here’s how to begin:

1. Rest with Purpose: Take 24–48 hours to unplug without guilt. No work. No planning. Just quiet. Let your mind detox from constant problem-solving.

2. Reflect Without Judgment: List what worked this year and what didn’t, without beating yourself up. Look for patterns. Were you overcommitted? Under-supported? Be honest and gentle.

3. Reimagine Your Success Metrics: What do you want success to feel like in 2026? Peaceful? Profitable? Flexible? Redefine what a “successful year” looks like based on your values, not just revenue.

4. Release the Dead Weight: Let go of offers, collaborations, systems (or even clients) that don’t align anymore. This is pruning season, not guilt season.

5. Realign with Your Source: Get quiet with God. Journal. Worship. Listen. Ask, What does obedience look like this year? What am I carrying that’s not mine to carry?

6. Rebuild from Center: When you’re ready, create a simple plan for Q1. Three clear goals. A margin-friendly schedule. And permission to adjust as needed.

2026 doesn’t need a brand-new you. It needs a realigned, rested, ready you. The version of you that builds with wisdom, walks with peace, and doesn’t trade her sanity for success. You still got time. Just don’t waste it repeating what already broke you.

We're in this together,

RJ
