Start Anyway

Dear Female Entrepreneur,
There’s a myth out there that you have to have it all figured out before you begin. That everything needs to be polished, perfect, and “ready.” But here’s the truth: nothing is ever really ready. Not your website, not your timing, not even you.
God doesn’t wait for perfection; He moves through obedience. And if you’ve been given a vision, that means it’s already go time. You don’t need more signs, more certifications, or another five months of planning. What you need is movement.

Here are 5 Actionable Steps to Get Started on Your God-Given Vision:
1. Write the Vision Down
Before you build it, you have to see it. Put your vision in writing, even if it’s not fully formed. This step makes it real and keeps you anchored when doubt creeps in.
2. Pray for Clarity, Then Move
Pray, listen, and then take action. Most times, the next step doesn’t show up until your feet start moving.
3. Commit to One Thing a Day
You don’t need a 10-step plan, just one intentional action daily. Send the email, outline the idea, secure the name, or make the call. Small steps create real momentum.
4. Outsource the Overwhelm
You weren’t meant to carry every piece of the vision alone. Delegate what drains you. Focus on what lights you up and let others support the mission.
5. Expect Imperfection and Start Anyway
Waiting for perfection is the quickest way to bury your calling. Start messy, grow publicly, and trust God to refine it as you move.
Starting isn’t glamorous. It’s messy. You’ may trip, second-guess, and probably want to quit more than once. But momentum is built by doing something each day that aligns with your purpose, not waiting for some mythical moment when you feel totally confident.
When I decided to launch my brand design business in 2016, I didn’t have every detail locked in. I didn't even have internet in my apartment or a personal computer. True story. But I did have peace. And peace is enough. Perfection is a lie that keeps too many brilliant women frozen. Consistency is what sets you free.
So, here’s your permission slip...the sign you asked God for: Start today. Write the post. Hit record. Book the session. Open the laptop. Take one bold, obedient step and then another. Because the only way to gain traction is to move.
You've got this,
RJ
