Don’t Have a Job? Make One.

Have you lost your job recently? Perhaps you've been laid off or downsized. Or maybe you've been searching for work month after month with no callbacks. You've sent out a hundred resumes with no feedback or responses. Money is getting low...or it's gone. You're tired, you're unsettled, and you're frustrated.

But let me speak this to you clearly: you are not empty. You were not created to sit in waiting rooms begging for permission to provide. There is something inside of you right now that can be used to generate income, and it doesn’t require a fancy title, a corner office, or even an LLC.

Maybe you know how to create custom floral arrangements, braid hair, prepare taxes, bake, style outfits, or design logos. Maybe you’re the one people call to help organize a garage, decorate a space, or babysit last minute. These aren’t just hobbies, they’re gifts. And gifts make room for provision. The problem is, we often overlook what comes easy to us because we don't believe it looks like a “real job.” But if you can do it well, someone will pay you to do it.

Solving someone's problem is the fastest way to financial freedom.

Bonus tip: My Mom always told me to do something no one wants to do for themselves or don't have the time to do it. They'll pay extra for the convenience.

Here’s where you start:

1. Make a list of everything people come to you for. What do they compliment you on? What have they asked you to help with before? That’s your goldmine.

2. Offer that service to five people in your circle today. Friends, family, church members, former coworkers. Let them know you're available and ready.

3. Post about it on social media. No logo. No LLC. Just your name, your offer, and how to book you. This is not the time for perfection; it’s time for movement.

And if you’re in a new city, introduce yourself to someone this week. At the coffee shop. The nail shop. At the gym. Someone knows someone who needs what you have. There is always a network, you just haven’t tapped in yet.

We’re living in uncertain times. Shutdowns. Layoffs. Rising costs. This is not the time to sit back and “wait and see.” This is the time to dig deep and pull out what’s already there. Your survival may depend on it, but so might your purpose.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need to start where you are, with what you have. And if you’ve been waiting for permission… this is it.

It's already in you,

RJ
