Charge What You're Worth

Let’s get one thing straight: I know your heart is pure. I know you’d do this for free. You’ve done it before...giving your time, energy, and brilliance away without hesitation. But here’s the truth: you can’t afford to keep doing that. Your gift is how God designed provision to flow through you. And when you undercharge - or don’t charge at all - you cut off the very system that’s meant to sustain you.

Beyond that, people rarely value what they get for free. When someone invests in your service, they show up differently. They take it seriously. And so do you. When you’re paid fairly, you don’t resent the work. You show up with intention, confidence, and clarity. You feel good about what you're offering, and that energy changes everything.

Here's what else happens when you charge your worth: you stop saying yes to every opportunity that crosses your inbox. You stop chasing. You start choosing.

Here's what else happens when you charge your worth: you stop saying yes to every opportunity that crosses your inbox. You stop chasing. You start choosing. And that shift? It gives you your power back. Not every dollar is worth it! Some projects will cost you your peace. And peace is too expensive to lose, no matter what the invoice says.

My husband always says, “We don’t charge by the hour; we charge for our power.” Unfortunately, it took three very painful and financially difficult years for me to get it. He's right. If it took you two hours to do something that would’ve taken someone else two days, that’s not a discount, it’s a blessing. Did you save them time? Elevate their brand? Solve a problem they’ve struggled with for weeks? Then price accordingly.

Don’t just charge for time. Charge for results. Charge for experience. Charge for the years it took to make it look easy. And then deliver with excellence. Because you’re not just building a business, you’re building a life that sustains you, honors your worth, and doesn’t leave you drained when the work is done.

You're worth every penny...are more,

RJ
